SilverTinker has been created by Victoria Hodgkiss to follow on from Raindrops On Roses, visitors to www.raindrops-on-roses.co.uk will have been redirected here.
Now in her third year of a Silversmithing and Jewellery degree course Victoria is using gemstones more and more in her work and likes to explore the contrast between using rough and uncut gemstones with smooth and shiny metal vs. precise faceted shiny cut gemstones set into rugged and chunky metal. Fordite and recycled materials have a heavy presence within her work.
All the work above has been part of the degree course so far.
